This class is for you if:
You are in the postpartum period and want to improve core strength
You are ready to focus on RE-training the core & pelvic floor
You have a hard time "feeling your core" when doing your exercises
You want to know how to select the most appropriate core exercise and how to scale it up or down as your strength & coordination improves
This class is suitable for anyone who has Abdominal Separation, or thinks that they might (also suitable for anyone experiencing symptoms related to hip pain, low back pain, prolapse, incontinence or pelvic heaviness)
What you get:
We will have a 10 min Q&A to get us all on the same page and using the same language, terminology and understanding of optimal breathing mechanics
Helpful cues to make that mind-body connection (remember we have to retrain the Brain, TVA & deep core muscles BEFORE we start introducing more core specific exercises)
You will learn how to assess your execution of each move so that you are confident you are “doing it right” when you’re at home or in other classes
We start with a 10 minute mobility flow to get the body & breathing prepped and ready (you will also get a recorded version of the flow that you can follow along at home after the class!)
We are going to practice the most helpful and progressive core exercises that you can easily do at home, or in other classes you attend.
You will get hands on help from me! This will be a small group workshop so that everyone gets some additional 1-1 help.
This is a Kegal free zone, but we will be working on how to coordinate our breathing strategies with a coordinated pelvic floor response.
This class is a little longer to give everyone the opportunity to try the moves out and still be able to care of baby
Participants will also get handouts with some additional exercises they can do on their own!
